Bossi

BOSSI (Bougainville Organic Sustainable Services Inc.) is a dynamic development organisation dedicated to advancing sustainable agriculture, aquaculture, and enterprise solutions across the remote communities of Bougainville, Papua New Guinea. Established in 2025, BOSSI was founded on the principle that meaningful progress is only achieved when local leadership, cooperative expertise, and gender equity are integrated into every initiative. By placing women at the forefront of its vision and harnessing the unique strengths of Bougainville’s farming cooperatives, BOSSI empowers communities to build a resilient economic, social, and environmental future.

The core mission of BOSSI is to drive transformation by supporting organic agriculture, enabling innovative aquaculture ventures, and fostering robust small-business networks throughout the region. These efforts are coordinated through well-established local hubs, including the Toniva Women’s Centre (BOSSI Hub) in Kieta Town. BOSSI works closely with grassroots leaders, development stakeholders, and partner organisations to deliver technical training, provide enterprise funding, and establish pathways for market access—all grounded in sustainability and local ownership.
